Maintenance Generalist I Internal Only

ONLY DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY. Works as part of a highly skilled team of maintenance/trades professionals to assess needs, plan, and coordinate resources for a wide range of facilities projects within the hospital.  Provides technical skill and general knowledge in one or more trades while performing remodeling, maintenance, repair and construction projects.  Available to perform and advise/ assist others on preventative maintenance, repairs, initial troubleshooting, and inspections on building systems and components as well as a variety of equipment and devices used in clinical and non-clinical areas. 

Minimum Education

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Work Experience

• 3 years Carpentry experience.
• 2 years in facilities maintenance with experience working on a variety of equipment or systems types.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Maintain valid Driver's license.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Strong mechanical ability and proven trouble shooting skills.
• Flexible schedule to provide multiple shift coverage.
• Demonstrated safe work practices in trades required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and manufacturer's instructions 

Pay Range: $20.47 - $30.46
