Summary
ONLY DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY. Provides respiratory care to patients in varying states of health and illness by assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the respiratory plan of care. The Respiratory Therapist Educator functions as an essential member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing direct patient care, instruction and preparation for continuing care after discharge and supports the clinical education and training needs of the department.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related Health Science field preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
- 5 years Respiratory Therapy experience.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Current VT State license.
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
- Certification in ACLS, PALS and NRP must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
- Registration as a Respiratory Therapist
- Completion of Cardiac Dysrhythmia course (Stress Testing Therapist)
- STABLE Certified

- Strong knowledge and skills related to clinical respiratory practice.
- Knowledge of adult education principles.
- Demonstrated commitment to education as a methodology for promoting continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care and skills.
- Effective, timely and respectful oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of respiratory care in both inpatient and outpatient areas.
Pay Range: $28.71 - $42.45
COMPETITIVE DIFFERENTIALS RATES
- $4.25 - Evenings
- $8.00 - Nights
- $4.75 - Weekends
